How reasonably priced? If you’re a US citizen you likely have an average internet access speed of 4.8 mbps and you pay a little over $3 per mbps. If you’re in Sweden, however, you likely have an 18 mbps connection and you pay a scant 63 cents per mpbs. The real envy of the internet speed Olympics by far is Japan with a mighty 61 mbps at a mere 27 cents per mbps.
so why low speed and high price?its because India is one of the most populated nation in the world ... so the infrastructure is not enough to satisfy the demands for bandwidth , and also piracy in india is high so ISPs are eternally afraid of Indian Torrent maniacs so to discourage this they make it costly.
The main problem regarding high prices for net connections in India is also due to low supply and high demand. A 10Gbps connection used by ISPs costs around nine million dollars to eleven million dollars per annum. While in China it is calculated to be around $2 million.
Indian government takes pride in showing the world how pathetic their attitude is towards developing infrastructure & contribution to the progress of nation's economy.. they prefer purchasing a century old technology spending a fortune rather than putting in huge amounts of talent available nation wide into developing home grown self reliance. they show the world that even though they destroy our economy every time they've been re elected for the last 60 years, there's hardly any citizen who cares about anything. indirectly they try to represent the genetic Indian psychology.

I am an Indian and i proudly hate almost everything in this country so much ! I can see how all politicians,industrialists and bureaucrats are ruining everything here,democracy is just a word nothing more than that.and when other countries are going towards a brighter future,we are going backwards and fucking our own lives by SC/ST,minority issues,paying and taking bribes,raping our fellow citizens,girl child infanticide and molestation, adjusting with corruption and the list is really huge.it was much better when it was ruled by British administration.and slow broadband speed is just another face of the carbuncle called India. nothing is gonna change here in next 500 years unless we the people,and the mind set of ours is changing...................Thank you all my fellow "Indians" for reading this.

ReplyDeletebecause we don't have enough power, didn't get that easy right, here I will explain, for high speed data transmission we need huge amount of power, power simply means electricity or watt, all this internet server and mobile tower need huge amount of electricity to work, and these electricity is come from generators, and these generators need crude oil(diesel), gas, coal, uranium for nuclear fission etc. for high speed data transmission we need huge amount of crude oil(diesel) to burn give out huge watt(power). all this major mobile towers, servers are working on crude oil to produce power. for high speed data transmission we have to produce more electricity to transmit the signal, for electricity we have to burn more and more crude oil or whatever the resource is. unluckily in India we don't have much source of power and we know that price of diesel(crude oil) is high and for commercial use price of diesel much high than we know, so the company cannot pay huge amount of price for electricity that producing for data transmission, so they use small amout of power to transmit data, thats why youtube cannot be easily played so we have to reduce resolution to 240p, and we got huge amount of people that everybody needs internet. this the reason why we have to pay high price for the internet or in other words your just paying the price for source of fuel that is using. simply for 3g and 4g connection you have to pay price for the fuel or you will get 2g that using low amount of fuel.
