How To Learn Hacking? How To Become A Hacker?

 Learn programming.
The First Thing you want to do is learn C/C++, Java, Python, Visual Basic and several scripting languages. Without the knowledge of programming, you wont understand the basics of hacking. A hacker is surely a good programmer.

Learn Linux.
You won't get very far without learning and using Linux. Learn how to run Linux from the console. Most of the hackers use linux.

Learn Windows.
You don't know half of what you even think you need to know about Windows. Learn the command prompt or what used to be DOS.

Learn web development.
Web development is the process of designing/developing websites. There is some crossover with things like Java script and VB script and programming, but you still need the basics of HTML, PHP and more.

Learn networking.
You need to know this down to the hardware level. What is the difference between a switch and a hub? Why might you be more interested in one over the other for network sniffing activities? You need to understand wifi, and all the methods to secure it. You need to know why MAC address filtering doesn't do much. A similar problem for turning off SSID, turning off DHCP, IP address filtering and more. There are practical limits when an average user is involved.

Build your own private network.
You need at least 2 or 3 computers capable of running Linux and at least WinXP. This is your lab. Don't attack other computers outside of your network. Disconnect your local network from the internet to avoid problems. When you know enough, you might want to go play on some of the "hackme" sites that are little more than computer puzzle games.

The shortcut is simply get at least a BS in computer science with extra course work in security and forensics.
